I’m in love…. I’m in love… I’m in love… and I don’t care who knows it. I am head over heels in love with Progenex (http://www.progenexusa.com/default.aspx) to all my CrossFit 312 friends out there, Yes, I know that I am drinking the CrossFit kool aid - but once it hits your lips it is just too good.

Has anyone out there tried it? If so, let me know if you are also obsessed. I look forward to long work outs in the pool just so I can indulge myself in a nice glass of cold milk with Progenex after. I actually think about it sometimes while I am swimming…. something like “only 20 more laps until I get a sip of Progenex”

It tastes so good that you feel like you’re cheating… it almost feels wrong. How can something that tastes like a Wendy’s Frosty or a chocolate shake be good for you?… I don’t know, but all I know is that I am HOOKED. I was going to try some other recovery drinks because Progenex can get a little pricey but I don’t know that I can give it up now. It’s not grainy like other protein supplements.

Ok… ok… I’ll get off my Progenex soap box now. But just do yourself a favor… have a hard work out and treat yourself after to some progenex.

Outside the Box: SICFIT is a multi-faceted brand but most importantly, it is an eco-system of promotion. Each of these facets reflect the interests of the company’s three principals: Online Media, Apparel, Action Sports Media Production, Event Marketing, Lifestyle Brand Development, and now, you can add our first foray into mobile technology. The hub of the SICFIT brand is our home page. Each of the other elements, feeds into the home page in one way or another.

With a distinct love of the CrossFit sport, our brand is best compared to MMA’s TAPOUT or boarding’s Hurley International. This comparison is (obviously) less about magnitude of our brand’s current influence and more about a) our approach to the promotion of the sport and b) our affinity for the sport.

One diversion that we’ve taken is that we avidly embrace Austin’s tech culture. We do focus on web and mobile technologies and applications that can fortify the CrossFit community and the sport. As such, we will continue to develop these products that the sport’s community demands. We have taken on the opportunity to work with Eric Webb to develop and promote SICFIT’s first mobile application that:

Helps CrossFit affiliates reach, teach, and inspire their athletes outside the box.

Debuting in the U.S. in July 2011, each CrossFit gym will have it’s own mobile social network. Communication will improve, loyalty will be fortified, and the word-of-mouth buzz around each CrossFit affiliate will be amplified. Here’s to thinking “Outside the Box”. Cheers.

Photography: The Best Moments of Real Biz Uncensored 2011 (Part One)

This SICFIT sponsored tech/entrepreneurial event was a resounding success. Entrepreneurs from five states converged on Austin, to kick off SXSWi in a central Austin garage gym with Jeremy Thiel, Zach Even-Esh and me. The musical performance by SXSW featured artist, Kosha Dillz, got everyone’s feet moving and hands in the air. The highlight event was a one and a half hour “Thank You Economy” keynote by Gary Vaynerchuk that had the audience going wild. The event’s tagline, “One interaction can change the trajectory of your career.” Over 50 CrossFit affiliates were represented and nearly 100 in attendance. Brian Mackenzie, founder of CrossFit Endurance was in the house. So were several owners of other prominent CrossFit brands: Patricia Leighton of Stronger Faster Healthier and Aaron Thomas of PROGENEX USA. Rounding off the attendance list was Joe Vitali of “The Secret”. See what people were saying about the event: Here. The amazing photography was by Nicole J. Hughes.

Did you attend? Tell me what you thought. Didn’t get to come? What was your perception through Twitter chatter?

It’s hard to organize Tumblr blogs by topic. A single one of your blogs may include your personal updates, your art, your opinions, and a YouTube video of a cat speaking Japanese, all in a single day. This has been a real limitation of the current Tumblr Directory. So, for the last few weeks we’ve been experimenting with some brand new tools for exploring Tumblr.

The new Explore page organizes and filters posts by tag. This means that every tagged post has a chance to show up in front of an audience of millions that might not otherwise see it. Think Tumblr Radar by topic.

Up top, the Tumblr Wire makes a return, pulling in featured posts in realtime. Below is a list of popular and trending tags (currently English only, with more languages coming soon). You can also Track these tags to get notifications on your Dashboard when a new post is featured.

Make sure to tag your posts where relevant to help more people find you. You can still look up any tag using the search box on your Dashboard.

We’ve already started finding posts and following blogs that we had no idea existed. Please give it a spin!

This is me, and it’s also my first post. I’ll probably make my second when I get around to it in a couple months.
